Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask | Review
Oh my gosh, I’ve been desperate to talk to you about this product. Are you looking for a skin changer? Make this it. Let’s chat about Origins number one bestselling face mask – the Drink Up Intensive Overnight Mask. It’s like no other product I have ever owned. It’s so unique, from consistency to application but it really does work. Did you see my January Favourites? I mentioned it in that.
Let’s whizz through some important deets…
+ Best for dry skin types
+ Best for rehydration & repair
+ £23 for 100ml (full size) bottle
“Origins Drink Up™ Intensive Mask makes skin feel smoother and hydrated. Skin depends on water for its youthful functioning. But all day long, skin loses vital moisture. And the busier you are, the more it loses. This intense moisture replacement mask deeply quenches compromised moisture reserves and builds a reservoir for tomorrow. Japanese Seaweed repairs skin’s barrier to prevent future dehydration and signs of premature ageing.” – Origins.co.uk
“Twice a week or as desired, gently massage onto clean skin at bedtime. Tissue off excess.”
I had never used an overnight mask before this product. I was a little apprehensive about letting it sit on my skin for hours whilst I sleep, I half expected to wake up with a reaction. However, this product doesn’t feel like a standard facial mask. It’s not heavy or oily and doesn’t change in consistency when it’s applied onto the skin. It definitely just feels like an intense moisturiser. I also love it because it doesn’t need to be applied regularly, I’d say the recommended two days a week is plenty. This product claims to be for very dry skin types, yet I’m oily, and it works wonders for my skin. People with dryer skin may find they have to use the product more often to achieve the desired effects.
The product comes in a sleek green plastic tube, which protects the antioxidant ingredients from excess exposure to the air sunlight. Mine was actually part of a gift set which is why it’s a tad smaller than the standard 100ml size.
A little bit really does go a long way (as I kept repeating for what felt like every product in my January favourites video). I apply a pea sized amount all over my face and it provides more than enough coverage. I find that most high-end skincare products really do have the lasting power which does make up for the hefty price tag they come with.
My skin has never felt so soft and nourished since using this overnight mask. It’s almost like my skin is thirsty for it; it’s something I’m just going to have to repurchase.
Have you tried this face mask? What do you think?
+ Not oily/greasy
+ Feels like an intense moisturiser
+ A little goes a long way
+ Super soft skin instantly after first use
+ Similar consistency to a thick moisturiser
+ Instant and noticeable improvement in the appearance my skin
+ Absorbs quickly
+ Very nourishing
+ Spa like smell
9.5/10. The reason I’m not giving this product full marks is because of the slightly steep price tag. I cannot fault the actual product.
