Bedside Table Beauty & Decor

You’re probably here because you’re a little bit nosey – who isn’t? I love reading posts like this where I can take a peek into someones personal life. Bedside tables tend to be where people keep essential items as an easy-to-grab-before-bed resort. Mine tends to switch up and change from time to time but the personal/decorative items always stay put. It’s not usually this tidy – don’t be fooled. Sometimes it’s covered in empty sweet wrappers (such a bad habit) and makeup covered facial wipes. But it’s always got skincare products on to remind myself to care for my skin before bed.

Moisture Surge – Clinique
Anti-Blemish Solutions Moisturiser – Clinique
Take The Day Off Makeup Remover – Clinique
GinZing Eye Cream – Origins
Photograph Frame – Ikea
Lamp – Dunelm
Sansevieria Plant – Ikea
Heart Tray – The White Company

I usually use a facial wipe and then trek to the bathroom half asleep to wash the rest of the day off my face. Then I will get tucked up and cosy in bed too apply night creams and moisturiser. At the moment I am enjoying the Clinique Moisture Surge (in miniature). I have always loved this moisturiser and I was lucky enough to get this in one of the recent Bonus Times. It’s super moisturising and leaves my skin feeling über soft. I also enjoy using the Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions Moisturiser to zap any yucky blemishes I may have. The Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover for Lids, Lashes & Lips (also in miniature) is great for getting any tough remaining mascara off. This makeup remover is the best and most gentle I have ever used. It takes every single bit of missed eye makeup off in just a few sweeps. It’s also a miracle worker for keeping my lips moisturised. In terms of eye creams, I love the Origins GinZing. The magic combination of caffeine, magnolia extract and natural optic brighteners work as a wonderful cocktail to banish dark circles and puffiness. It was an investment piece but it lasts forever and is the best eye cream I have ever used. The only other products on my bedside table are my haircare ones which all live in a small white hamper. This is purely because they don’t have a home anywhere else.

Permanently living on my bedside table are a few personal and decorative items that have been accumulated over time. My favourite of them all being the photograph of my boyfriend, just sitting next to me when I’m sleeping. This photograph was taken on the train to London for the New Year in 2012, I just love how natural it is. The frame is from Ikea. My bedside table lamp is from Dunelm and I love how the inside pattern shines through when it’s switched on. I always like a little bit of greenery in my room and my Sansevieria plant is very good because it doesn’t require much care – I couldn’t look after a stick if I tried. It was from Ikea and came in the cute white flower pot. The heart tray keeps all of my skincare products together so neatly and it means none of it goes walkabouts. It was from The White Company and is officially a soap plate – but who uses things for their actual purpose anyway?

I have a lot of Clinique skincare products. So, my next video will be on my entire Clinique skincare collection. Make sure you’re subscribed to be notified of that! What are your nighttime essentials? I’d love to hear. Please reassure me that I’m not the only one that doesn’t always have a clean and tidy bedside table…
