Morphe Brushes 9b Blushed Blush Palette | Review
Hello and welcome to my new series ‘Product of the Week’! During this series I will show you one scrumptiously good product every Tuesday that I have been constantly reusing and loving; yes, I change up my products quite a lot! I am going to treat this series like a review, so I hope you can benefit in some way from reading the posts. I thought I would open with the best blushes I have ever used (what a bold statement).
The 9B Blushed Blush Palette by Morphe Brushes arrived a few weeks ago and I have not put it down. You may have seen it in my Unboxing Haul.
Let me tell you a little about my blush history…
It’s safe to say I haven’t explored the world of blushes; I have always stuck to the baby and fuchsia pinks from limited brands such as L’oreal and Clinique. I wanted to broaden my blush horizons, so I took the plunge and purchased this 9 piece palette.
So, what’s all the fuss about?
These are the best blushers I have ever used because there’s a good variation of shades and they’re so pigmented; I don’t find myself having to go back in with my brush numerous times to get the pigment like I’ve had to do in the past with other products (even from Clinique!). The formula is mega creamy meaning they blend out so well with minimal effort, they aren’t too overpowering and the price is so right.
The colours in this palette are a mixture of both matte and shimmer tones which is an added bonus. I tend to use the matte shades for a normal daytime look and the shimmer if i’m going out somewhere a bit more special. The shimmer tones also look amazing against a bold cheek highlight. I have been loving how the blush looks on the apples of my cheeks and then along my cheek bone to meet my hair line, this just seems to enhance my contour. I also love how versatile the shades are; I was worried because I have pale skin but all of the colours work with it and not one of them looks out of place on me.
Despite all of the good stuff, I’m still not a massive fan of the Morphe Brushes packaging. It can be tricky to open and it’s made very cheaply.
In a nutshell…
♥ Very pigmented
♥ Creamy formula
♥ Great colour versatility
♥ Sleek packaging (but tricky to open)
♥ Good range of matte to shimmer tones
♥ Appropriate for anytime of the year
♥ Can work with any skintone
