My Easter Day Makeup | Naked 2 Palette

Recently, i’ve put my Makeup Geek down and forced myself to use my new Naked 2 Palette. I have to say, i’m not loving the pigmentation on the shades and they don’t blend as easily as the Makeup Geek but the shades are gorgeous. I feel like they all represent the ‘holidays’ like Christmas and Easter because of the gold and silver tones and the gorgeous shimmer.

I wore:
♥ Foxy as my all over base colour
♥ Tease as my transition shade
♥  YDK all over my lid
♥  Snakebite on the outer corner
♥ Verve as my highlight for my brow bone and inner tear duct

The look was very subtle, I wanted drama but not like I was going on a night out; I paired it with a soft coral lipstick. I have to say, I don’t like the brush that comes with the palette – it’s really soft but none of the two ends are fantastic for blending. I sprayed the smaller brush end with some makeup setting spray to really make the YDK pop.

I barely touched my cheekbones with any bronzer and didn’t wear any blusher (something I NEVER do!) but the look seemed to come together really well, especially with strong eyebrows. Usually I would use the darkest shade that I used on my upper eyelids along my lower lash line but today I left it completely blank (also something I never do!).

So all in all, it was a brand new look for me. I went for drama but the Naked 2 palette lacked pigmentation and let me down slightly for this reason. Having said this, the black is so pigmented, it’s very heavy and can be difficult to wear if you apply too much. It’s very messy, expect a lot of fall out. I wish all of the colours were at a similar standard though!
