The Perfect Valentines Day Lip
I produced this Valentine’s Day lip look because the colours are so rich, pigmented and gorgeous, not forgetting it’s easy to wear on any skin tone and eye colour. Pair this with a black smokey eye for and a strong contour for the perfect complete look.
My lips are quite uneven and small but they’re naturally very pigmented. Read on for tips & tricks on how to achieve a full looking hot pink lip.
Before & after
o MAC – Kiss Me Quick Pro Longwear Lip Pencil
o L’oreal – Color Riche 288 Intense Fuchsia Lipstick
o L’oreal – Fuchsia Drama 401 Lipgloss
o MAC Pro Longwear Concealer
o Any brown eyeshadow, I used one from the Jaclyn Hill favourites palette.
o Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Compact – Pink Quartz
I lined my lips slightly outside the natural line and then filled them in. Doing this before applying lipstick will ensure that your make up lasts all night.
I covered my lips in the L’oreal lipstick.
I went over the lipstick with the lipgloss.
I pumped a small amount of my MAC Pro Longwear concealer onto a small sharp edged eye brush and then put it around my whole lip area. This creates a really sharp lipstick line.
I used a light brown eye shadow shade (use any brown you have depending on your skin tone) and applied it underneath my lower lip with a small Real Techniques brush. This creates the illusion of a bigger lip because it appears to create a shadow.
To finish, I brushed a small amount of highlight onto my cupids bow just on the upper lip. When all of my make up is complete I would apply this on all of the high points of my face including my cheekbones, down the centre of the nose, chin and forehead.
This is the complete look! Using a bright colour like this will also make your teeth appear whiter and your smile fuller.
